Admit your sinful ways and desire to turn from them 

   and be delivered from the judgment they bring 

   (Romans 3:10, 23; Acts 3:19).

Acknowledge what Christ did for sinners on the cross, 

   which was confirmed by His resurrection from the 

   dead (Romans 5:8; John 11:25).

 Receive Him as the only means of eternal life 

   (Ephesians 2:8-9; John 1:12; 6:40).

 Appropriate His rightful claim as Lord of your life 

   (Romans 10:9; Philippians 2:10-11).

The Roman Road

Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" This means that no one is sinless so no one is perfect.  They don't match up to God's standard.

Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord"  What we deserve as sinners, which we all are, is death.  Our actual wages, what we earn from sinning, is hell.  But the second half of the sentence is the awesome good news.  God has freely sacrificed His Son Jesus Christ to take the penalty of our sin, death, so that we would now be sinless, and could get into heaven, eternal life.

Romans 10:13 "Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved" How do we receive this free gift from God?  We just have to accept Jesus' sacrifice and "call on the name of the Lord"  (Look above at How to Become a Christian)

That means ask them questions to have them question their own beliefs before sharing the gospel with them.

1. Ask them what they believe.  This may be "What happens when you die?" "Who goes to heaven?" "Who was Jesus?" etc. This opens up the discussion and lets them say what they want.  This is why we have the survey questions; to open up further discussion.

2. Ask them how they know what they are saying is true.  Everyone has an opinion and a worldview.  Find out how they can be sure what they believe is right.  Can they prove it?

3. Ask them what happens if they are wrong.  Many people will give sure answers to Questions 1 and 2.  Most people don't consider Question 3.  If Christianity is true, then they are wrong and they are in trouble.  If Christianity is not true, Christians still live a good life doing good things, being nice and making the world a better place.  Is the gamble worth it for them?
